How to play Aces

This rule tells you how you can play an Ace A (or One, 1 if you play with numbered tiles) in a run.

  • Low: A23

You can play an Ace only in front of a 2.

  • Either low: A23 , or high: QKA

You can play an Ace in front of a 2, or after a King (13), but not in between a King (13) and a 2.

  • Both low and high: KA2

You can play an Ace in front of a 2, after a King (13), or in between a King (13) and a 2.

This option also allows A23 and QKA .

Games with this rule

Most built-in games in RRRummy use the aces are low rule. Exceptions are Carousel (aces are either low or high); and Rozzy and Windmill (aces are both low and high).

In most Rummy type games, including Tile Rummy, aces are always low. In some games however, like Carousel, aces are either low or high.
