Knock to end the game early

Normally, you win the game if you play all cards from your hand. But in games that allow you to knock, you may end the game with still a few cards in your hand, if you think you can win now.

You can only knock if the total face value of all cards in your hand is not higher than a maximum value. Jokers may count special.

(And in order to prevent cheating, you can only knock if there are no loose cards on the table.)

The game ends immediately

With this option set, you may only knock at the very start of your turn, before you play anything or draw a card. When you knock, the game ends immediately, and the player with the lowest total face value in his hand, wins the game.

The game ends after one more round for everyone

With this option set, you may only knock when you may play (that is, after you have drawn the cards that you must draw at the start of your turn).

When you knock, then you must complete your turn normally, and all other players will have one more turn. This gives them a chance to play as many cards as they can. When it is your turn again, the game ends and the player with the lowest total face value in his hand, wins the game.

If another player plays all his cards before the turn gets back to you, then that player wins the game.

Games with this rule

The game ends immediately variation of this rule is used in Carousel and Tonic RRRummy. The one more round variation is used in Accelleration, Jin RRRummy and Wooden Rummy. In other built-in games in RRRummy you cannot knock.

Some Rummy type games, like Gin Rummy and Tonk, allow you to knock. In most other games, including Tile Rummy, you cannot knock.
